Job Title: Gameplay Programmer

ROLE DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a Gameplay Programmer to join our studio, working on a dark, story-driven 'Narrative Adventure' with genre-defining goals. This highly ambitious project focuses on atmosphere, storytelling, player agency, and narrative, pushing boundaries on next-generation hardware technologies. We would love individuals to be based in the studio for 1-3 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work closely with design to build gameplay features.
2. Use a combination of C++ and blueprinting to create systems for designers.
3. Write scalable and reusable code with performance in mind.
4. Maintain, extend, and optimize existing game systems and features.
5. Ensure overall build performance and stability throughout all stages of development.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Knowledge of C++ and overall software engineering and debugging skills.
2. Stay updated with recent advancements in technology.
3. 3D maths and problem-solving skills.
4. Unreal Engine 5 knowledge, including knowledge of Blueprints.
5. Ability to modify and extend existing systems.
6. Ability to work well with others in cross-discipline teams.
7. A passion for games and game creation.
DESIRABLE:
1. Experience with profiling and identifying CPU & GPU bottlenecks using industry-standard tools.
2. Working knowledge of Perforce.
3. Experience working on PlayStation hardware.
