Staff Nurse, Ward 10 (Stroke), Prince Charles Hospital

Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
* Be responsible for the management of a group of patients, and occasionally take charge of the ward/department, and its resources for the duration of their duty.
* Be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care.
* Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Support and supervise junior staff.
* Maintain accurate, current, comprehensive and concise records concerning the condition of the client, in accordance with NMC Standards for Record & Record Keeping and the UHB's Patient Record Policy.
* Liaise with appropriate Clinical Specialists (i.e., Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists) regarding individual patient requirements and planned programmes of care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* UK NMC PIN holder
Skills and Experience
* Interpersonal and communication skills.
* Able to work within a large multi-disciplinary team.
* Previous stroke care experience.
* Standard keyboard skills.
