Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the South East Wales Acute Oncology Services (AOS) for a friendly, organised individual with administrative experience. This is a front-facing operational role, which will support patients and clinical staff, whilst also providing support to the Programme team. The post holder will work collaboratively with teams across South-East Wales to ensure a smooth pathway for patients presenting with an oncological emergency.
This is a Fixed term/Secondment until the end of August 2026 to cover the needs of the Service.

Main Duties of the Job
Using their administrative experience, the post holder will provide efficient and effective daily administrative and organisational support for the AOS and CUP services. This will include recording accurate summaries of confidential clinical meetings in real-time, communicating with clinical teams and patients, and collating and inputting data. They will provide secretarial support to the Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) service. The hours of the role are (ideally) Mondays and Tuesdays to meet the needs of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* Diploma/HNC or equivalent experience
* Database experience/management
* Demonstrate evidence of CPD
* Substantial experience in an administration role
* Knowledge of NHS systems (Electronic Staff Record, WPAS, Clinical Portal etc)
* Demonstrate a good understanding of medical terminology
