An exciting new opportunity has emerged within PortmanDentex to oversee health, safety, and fire safety standards across our business. This crucial role will be an integral part of our Clinical Safety Team, supporting the Head of Health, Safety & Quality in effectively meeting corporate governance responsibilities.
Take charge of coordinating key projects, ensuring statutory compliance, spearheading comprehensive training initiatives, and enhancing health and safety performance across regional operations. Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Head of Health, Safety & Quality to deliver outstanding corporate governance in health and safety.
* Upload, organize, and audit statutory compliance documents (e.g., fire safety records, servicing records) using our compliance software, ensuring precision, flagging expirations, and coordinating remedials and renewals with Practice Managers.
* Monitor and report on internal health and safety check completion rates, driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications
We welcome your application to our Health, Safety and Fire Safety Coordinator vacancy if you have the following qualifications and skills:
* Environmental Health Officer (EHO) qualification (e.g., BSc/MSc in Environmental Health, registered with CIEH or REHIS) OR
* NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent Level 6 qualification).
* Membership of IOSH (Certified or above) or CIEH (Member).
* Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and compliance frameworks (Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, RIDDOR, CQC requirements).
* Experience in incident investigations, risk assessments, and data analysis.
* Proven ability to manage projects, track actions, and drive accountability.

We offer a fully remote working model or hybrid working model that allows you to split your week between working from home, and our support office in Cheltenham. This will likely be 1 or 2 days a week in the office, with full flexibility around the days that work best for you, and the rest working from home. Our office is conveniently located opposite the racecourse entrance, and features a café on-site, free parking, and beautiful parkland surroundings.
