Do you want to join a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team and have a varied and interesting case load?
You may possess specialist knowledge of looking after Older Adults; alternatively, you may not have worked with an Older Adult patient group before but will always put the patient at the centre of what you do to provide individualised, person-centred care.
We can also offer an exceptional development opportunity - If you have post qualification experience as an RMN, OT, or Social Worker, we can offer a developmental opportunity to become a band 6 Community Mental Health professional.
Due to this role being community-based, it is necessary to have access to a vehicle to travel freely (amendments can be made in line with the Equality Act 2010).
This role carries an incentive premium of £3,500, which will be paid in instalments over an 18-month period and is subject to terms.
Interview dates: Friday 10th January 2025, Monday 27th January 2025.
Main Duties of the Job
Our hub is based at Saffron House in Easton, High Wycombe, which is the newly established mental health hub in South Bucks. We provide community-based treatments and are fortunate to work alongside our own dedicated Social Care Team. Our team provides focused interventions for the older adults of South Buckinghamshire.
Saffron House benefits from being at an accessible location, that is not only close to local bus and train stations but also the M40 motorway, with free staff parking on site.
This service operates 365 days per year and follows the principles of the Community Mental Health Framework. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00. Out of hours/duty support services are managed via a team rota. Staff will be expected to work on this rota, which includes 9:00 till 17:00 at weekends.
We want you to be a confident practitioner, able to work with students and teach others, and be able to work under pressure while having excellent mental health assessment skills. Good communication is essential, and an interest in developing physical health assessments is encouraged.
This role will require you to travel between community locations; you must therefore be comfortable with driving for work purposes and able to travel freely within the hours of the role. Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
