PMLD Teaching Assistant - Reading - Full Time

We are currently seeking a committed and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team at a leading SEN school in Reading. If you have experience supporting students in the education and training sector with profound and multiple learning disabilities, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children.
PMLD Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils.
* Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
* Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement.
* Support with planning, preparation, and resourcing for lessons.
* Promote, support, and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
* Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures.
* Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
We are looking for in our next PMLD Teaching Assistant:
* Proven experience working with students with PMLD in an educational setting.
* A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young people with complex needs.
* A good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding guidelines.
* Relevant qualifications, professional or personal experience.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment.
