We are looking for an inspirational leader to join Talbots as a Team Manager in our National Conveyancing Department. To be successful, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience running a full and varied caseload specialising in residential property panel work with people management skills.
The Team Manager of the National Conveyancing Department will be expected to lead a whole team of Conveyancers, Paralegals and Assistants. This role is integral to the team’s function and development.

What the job involves;
* Oversee appropriate allocation of files within the team, monitoring and managing the performance of the team, whilst providing guidance on regulatory, client care and legal issues.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of clients and referrers, dealing with client complaints to avoid escalation and work in collaboration with Panel Team Manager.
* Effectively and proactively manage staffing provision and everyday matters that arise within the team including, timekeeping and holiday authorisation.
* Be actively involved in the development of the department, including training and supervising, strengthening existing client relations and liaising with colleagues in other departments
* · Manage a reduced caseload of varying value and complexity, advising on a range of residential property matters.
What you need;
* At least three years’ experience or managing a varied residential caseload matters, with relevant qualifications.
* Have excellent knowledge of relevant law and practice including SRA Code of Conduct and other regulatory requirements.
* A proven track record of providing proactive, consistent and efficient client service, whilst succeeding targets.
* Pride yourself on being detail-driven, have excellent communication skills as well as motivated & organised team-player.
