We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child with specific needs in our Early Years setting. We are flexible with start and end times (15 hours per week). Key Responsibilities: Provide personalised support to the child, catering to their individual needs and learning style Utilise strategies such as the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and social stories to facilitate effective communication and learning Work closely with the child's teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to their development Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities that promote the child's progress Maintain detailed records of the child's progress and contribute to regular reviews and assessments Required Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with children on the Autistic Spectrum, preferably with some background in speech and language support Familiarity with the use of PECS and social stories Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with the child, their family, and the wider school community A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse needs Desirable Qualities: A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to ensuring all children reach their full potential Creativity and problem-solving skills to develop engaging and effective learning strategies Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities
