Client Relationship Manager - 12 Month FTC

You'll work closely with the wider BDM team in this partner facing and client facing role. With a focus on banking and financial institutions, you'll be managing a portfolio of c.6 clients, with plenty of opportunity to build strong relationships externally as well. The team emphasises teamwork and collaboration with colleagues and lawyers to develop and execute business development and marketing initiatives, driving growth and delivering on strategy. The work is varied, offering significant opportunities for learning and growth in a supportive environment.
In this role, you will build deeper connections with priority clients, identify new opportunities, and assist partners in winning new business. You will define and promote the firm's expertise to key influencers within priority clients, aligning with their strategy and market-driven themes. Additionally, you will serve as the lead point of contact for effective relationship management and development, delivering real value to the partnership.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Contribute to and execute strategic objectives and deliverables for the team, focusing on effective CRM and sales cycle support.
2. Develop and implement targeted client plans with accountability and SMART objectives.
3. Engage in proactive business development and marketing activities aligned with client plan objectives and the firm's strategy.
4. Identify and create business growth opportunities from market developments and hot topics.
5. Disseminate sector and client-specific relationship information to relevant teams, providing clear recommendations.
6. Develop client relationships personally and alongside MRPs/client teams.
7. Regularly engage with client contacts, demonstrating responsiveness and collaboration.
8. Manage fee negotiations and assist with client fee proposals, global panel submissions, and drafting fee deal letters.
9. Plan and attend client relationship meetings, draft and disseminate meeting notes, and produce client relationship presentations and reports.
10. Respond to internal enquiries related to panel arrangements.
Experience Required:
1. Proven experience in a dedicated client account management role.
2. Strong background in business development within a professional services or partnership setting.
3. Exceptional communication skills.
4. Client-service oriented with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
5. In-depth client awareness, understanding of the legal market, and a broad knowledge of our products and client targets.
