CNC Programmer/Operator (Miller) x 1
An industry-leading manufacturing business based in Knutsford is seeking two CNC Programmer/Operators (Turners) and one CNC Programmer/Operator (Miller) to bolster their already strong team.
Key Responsibilities (Turner)
1. Prioritise, in accordance with Team Leader's instructions and work in progress requirements, works orders received from the Cutting Room.
2. Ensure material received is appropriate and cut to size. Refer any inaccuracies to the Team Leader.
3. Create or modify programmes to manufacture components to meet required specifications.
4. Manufacture the component to production deadlines using CNC or manual lathes, ensuring the machines are operated safely and that the appropriate checks have been carried out.
5. Ensure that the completed component is checked against the specification, is de-burred and engraved and blasted as required.
6. Store any new programmes correctly for future access.
7. Pass completed component and documentation to Team Leader.
8. Manufacture jigs and fixtures to aid the machining of components.
9. Follow the machine maintenance schedule in accordance with the operators manual.
10. Ensure that machine oil levels are periodically checked.
11. Respond appropriately and quickly to machine alarms for maintenance purposes.
12. Ensure that the swarf conveyor is cleaned every 3 months.
13. Ensure that machine maintenance records are maintained and updated.
14. Ensure that scrap material is stored appropriately.
15. Ensure that machine is left in a clean and safe condition.
16. Carry out daily audits on area as requested by Team Leader.
17. Assist customers and colleagues with problems that arise offering practical and appropriate solutions.
18. Deal professionally, competently and courteously with customers, suppliers and colleagues in verbal and written communications.
19. Clean and tidy work area on a daily basis.
20. Provide cover in VKs as required.

4. Manufacture the component to production deadlines using CNC/manual milling machines, ensuring the machines are operated safely and that the appropriate checks have been carried out.
5. Ensure that the completed component is checked against the specification, is de-burred and engraved.
6. Store any new programmes correctly for future access.
7. Pass completed component to correct area.
8. Manufacture jigs and fixtures to aid the machining of components.
9. Ensure that machine oil levels are periodically checked.
10. Respond appropriately and quickly to machine alarms for maintenance purposes.
11. Ensure that the machine and conveyor are left clean at the end of every shift.
12. Re-set tools as required.
13. Ensure that machine maintenance records are maintained and updated.
14. Ensure that scrap material is stored appropriately.
15. Ensure that machine is left in a clean and safe condition.
16. Carry out weekly 5S audits on area as requested by Team Leader.
17. Assist customers and colleagues with problems that arise offering practical and appropriate solutions.
18. Deal professionally, competently and courteously with customers, suppliers and colleagues in verbal and written communications.
19. Clean and tidy work area on a daily basis.
20. Provide cover in Machine Shop as required.
