Master Data Analyst
Position: Master Data Analyst
Location: Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week
Salary: £30000 - £35000
The impact you will have
Arjo are seeking a Master Data Analyst to define data setup rules, develop and maintain department KPIs. Run integrated data integrity reports combining various data sets to support the business, identifying data inaccuracies and inconsistencies and putting corrective actions in place. Mass cleansing of the databases as required. Support development of data based tools to assist various areas of the business to optimise their activities. Internal projects support, ensure data loaded into relevant systems is cleansed and accurate.
* Document data structure and field setup rules, related to master data.
* Develop and manage exception reporting and control routines to ensure data accuracy and consistency across different business system platforms.
* Develop and maintain master data integrity KPIs and follow up with responsible parties.
* Work with local businesses and ERP support teams, performing detailed data analysis to ensure alignment of Master data to support projects roll-outs. Some travel will therefore be required.
* Perform analysis of large volumes of data from different sources in different formats. Segregate, sort and cleanse results.
* Present processes / analysis and summarise to technical and managerial teams.
* Documenting and maintaining Data Structure and SOP’s processes.
* Running and development of data analysis and reporting tools.
* Data governance, exception reporting, progressing issues to resolution.
* Master data maintenance according to the firm rules and flows
* Service desk issues and mass loads support
* Development of MDM KPIs
* Producing ad-hoc reports and providing relevant information
* Attending meetings on master data with process owners and entities within the firm to ensure a smooth operation of the business
* Support internal transfer pricing process with business
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and process development.
* Other tasks as required by the business as the role will continuously develop and change.
* Assure quality and compliance into all aspects of assigned tasks.
The skills you will need
* Proficient in MS Office packages especially Excel and Access/SQL
* Experience in ERP system data management (ideally Infor M3) and interaction with other business functions.
* Experience in integrating information/tables from complex business systems.
* Attention to detail and ability to work from own initiative with good organisation and prioritisation skills.
* Understanding and experience in complex business process flows
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
* Qualifications in Engineering/IT/Business preferred. Alternatively 3 or more years in a data management related position.
* MS Office packages especially Word, Excel and possibly Access/SQL
* Communication and coordination skills to ensure other departments and functions complete required tasks.
