This role will be suited to a keen and enthusiastic project engineer in either electrical or mechanical engineering, looking to further their career in project management. Working a 37-hour week over a 9-day fortnight, other benefits include holiday, pension, EAP, and life cover.
The role requires working in a highly regulated environment, adhering to international, national, and client standards and specifications.
Reporting to a Project Manager, you will work closely with technical sales, design, and production to assist with the initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects. In this role, you will be supported in your development with internal and external training as required.
The ideal candidate shall have experience in project management and/or a manufacturing or engineering environment and ideally have some experience working with some or all the following areas and systems:

1. Heating & ventilation systems/equipment
2. Sheet metal fabrication
3. Design of equipment for hazardous environments (Atex)
4. Electrical design/standards
5. ISO 9001/14001
6. Offshore/Renewable markets

1. Draft Sight
2. SolidWorks
3. MRP Systems (Javelin)
4. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
5. Microsoft Project
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Planning and defining the scope of the project, including meeting customer specifications and requirements
2. Project timescale estimating
3. Cost estimating and budget planning to meet the financial objectives of the customer project and Veotec
4. Control and completion of project documentation including but not limited to Quality Plans, Certificates of Conformity, Installation, Operation & Maintenance Instructions
5. Monitoring and reporting progress to both senior management and customers
6. Liaising with customers and subcontract companies
7. Checking of CAD designs/drawings prior to customer approval
8. Generation of MRP parts/Bills of Materials/Works Orders/Drawing Packages for Production
Key Skills Required
ESSENTIAL
1. Minimum HNC qualified in a suitable engineering discipline
2. An apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
3. Able to work independently and manage time effectively
4. Available to travel if required in the UK and abroad to meet business requirements
5. Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate well with all departments and external connections
6. Proven experience in a full-time project engineer role
DESIRABLE
1. An understanding of sheet metal component design and manufacture
2. An understanding of 3D CAD design
3. Some full-time work experience
Education & Experience
1. Minimum HNC qualified in a suitable engineering discipline
2. An apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
3. Intermediate user of Office 365
