Assistant Management Accountant, Carlisle - excellent developmental opportunity

The role will support the timely preparation of the monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout. This position offers a balance between traditional financial responsibilities and working with the Financial Controller, focusing on continuous improvement to develop new systems and processes for a fast-growing business. This is a fantastic development opportunity for an AAT qualified candidate to embark on a progressive opportunity with qualified mentors.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, typical duties will evolve with the growth of the business and will include:
1. Support with the preparation and analysis of key elements of the monthly management accounts
2. Prepare and review monthly KPIs
3. Perform key month-end reconciliations in the preparation of monthly management accounts and interpret these in a commercial context
4. Post accruals and prepayments
5. Capex and fixed asset register reporting, including analysis of project costs incurred on telecoms network build programmes and monthly depreciation journals
6. Support with payroll preparation and processing
7. Provide robust financial analysis to identify trends across the Group entities and support business cases
8. Support with the year-end audit process and other statutory/regulatory requirements
9. Business partnering with other departments within the company
10. Support the Financial Controller with the implementation of a new ERP/Finance system within the next 12 months
11. Work with the Financial Controller to help drive efficiencies in spend across the Group entities

IT literate with strong ability using Microsoft Excel
