Job title: Mechanical Commissioning Engineer Job Type: Contract IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Start date: Subject to clearance Duration: 6 Months Pay rate: £48 - £55 Umbrella £36.31 - £41.53 PAYE Location: Devonport 5 Days on Site Hours of work: 37 Hours Per Week Role information: - Manage all activities in line with Company, Customer and project requirements and implement the Commissioning Strategy for the project. - Be the focal point for the Company customer and sub-contractors. - Ensure all activities are planned, assessed and managed so that risks or hazards are adequately identified and controlled to ensure compliance with relevant standards, expectations, rules and procedures. - Organised and obtain sufficient resources to deliver the applicable work scope as described in the contract and/or project documentation. - Oversee the implementation of work to ensure that it meets the required technical and quality standards. - Ensure suitable Safe Systems of Work (Risk Assessments, Methods Statements etc.) are produced so that supervisors and work teams can be effectively set to work, supervised and are provided with adequate instruction and information so as to complete the work task safely. - Manage and control sub-contractors where applicable. - Review and assess training and competency records of personnel (including those of sub-contractors) to ensure that those assigned to undertake tasks are competent to do so. - Provide regular reports, information and statistics to the Company and/or Customer to demonstrate performance against Safety, Quality, Time and Cost criteria. - Carry out regular workplace inspections to ensure compliance with relevant Company and Customer standards, expectations, rules and procedures. - Immediately report any unplanned events or incidents in line with Company and Customer procedures. Qualifications/Experience Required: - HNC/HND in relevant discipline - Experience with pressure testing pipework.
