Pertemps is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a reputable manufacturing company in Kidderminster. This temporary-to-permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a passion for machinery and precision work. The successful candidate will play a key role in assembling, maintaining, and repairing equipment, contributing to a productive and supportive team environment.
The Duties of a Mechanical Fitter:
* Assemble, install, and repair mechanical systems and machinery according to specifications.
* Inspect machinery to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
* Perform maintenance tasks, including adjustments and parts replacements
* Utilise hand and power tools to complete repairs and installations.
* Work from technical drawings and diagrams to ensure accurate assembly of components.
* Maintain and clean equipment regularly to prevent downtime.
* Work with the manufacturing team to meet production targets.
The Requirements of a Mechanical Fitter:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics.
* Skilled in the use of various hand and power tools.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
