Main Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional to join our expanding Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the contractual terms and relationships with all our suppliers, ensuring the supply of goods meets the time, cost, and high-quality expectations of our customers. Additionally, they will oversee the warehouse and management of stock. We are looking for someone with a breadth of supply chain experience who is willing to be flexible in their approach, as every day will bring new opportunities and variety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with the Operations Director to ensure the effective management and continuous improvement of the end-to-end supply chain process.
2. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, including securing competitive prices, payment terms, logistics, stock, and lead times.
3. Set performance targets and KPIs for suppliers.
4. Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers, including monitoring performance, issue resolution, product failures, stock holding, lead time, and logistics.
5. Liaise with our quality manager on product failures.
6. Work with the warehouse team on stock holding to support the business.
7. Identify ways of working to optimise and streamline business processes and improve the supply of equipment and parts.
8. Identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans and implement accordingly.
9. Review and improve shipment of goods from suppliers to the UK.
10. Help drive company improvements.
11. Develop individuals to meet the needs of the business and drive the Culture and Values & Behaviours.
12. Provide performance feedback, coaching, and mentoring to manage talent.
13. Ensure each member of the team has a personal development plan and access to appropriate training and development.
14. Ensure team and individual development to optimise performance and commitment through regular 1-2-1s and annual appraisals.
Experience/Qualifications
1. Previous experience within procurement, buying, supply chain, and logistics.
2. Commercial and business acumen.
3. Supplier relationship management.
4. SAP experience desirable but not essential.
5. Leadership and Manager training.
6. Sound knowledge of Microsoft OS package.
7. Clean driving license.

Location:
1. This role will be based from our Ulverston office. We offer hybrid working with an expectation of being in the office at least 2 days per week. This role will also require travel to supplier meetings and our office location in Cambridge.
