Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while facilitating communication between clients and our service department. This role requires a blend of strong customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to upsell services effectively.
Duties
1. Greet customers upon arrival and ascertain their service needs.
2. Provide detailed explanations of services required and recommend additional services when appropriate (upselling).
3. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
4. Handle cash transactions securely and accurately.
5. Liaise with technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
6. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
7. Keep abreast of product knowledge and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
8. Ensure the service area is organised and presentable at all times.
Requirements
1. Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within an automotive or mechanical environment.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge to understand customer needs and communicate effectively with technicians.
3. Excellent cash handling skills with a focus on accuracy.
4. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining a positive customer experience.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
