We are seeking to recruit a positive, caring and self-motivated individual to take on the role and work in our Urgent Care Centre.
Main duties of the job
As an Urgent Care Paramedic you will be a leading example of clinical excellence, with a minimum of two years experience, supporting colleagues in the department, and providing advanced level clinical assessment and care. With a range of diagnostics available to aid your clinical examination, the UCC environment is an ideal place to consolidate previous experience of Emergency Department, Walk in Centres, GP Practices or OOH environments.

Qualifications
* Registered Paramedic Qualification (HCPC), Degree in MSc modules in Advanced Clinical Skills/Diagnostics.
* Has completed their two-year consolidation of learning period as a newly qualified paramedic.
* Currently working towards developing at masters level or equivalent, capability in paramedic areas of practice.
* Within six months of commencement complete their clinical pillar competencies of paramedics. FCP/AP road map to practice.
Experience
* Ability to work flexibly to meet UCH & Practice demands.
* Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, nurses, other staff, and agencies.
* Caring attitude to patients.
* Must value and appreciate the worth of others.
* A recognition of the importance of showing respect, dignity and compassion to patients and colleagues.
* Commitment to continuing clinical education and professional development.
* Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
* An appreciation of the nature of GPs and general practices.
* Experience of managing / developing a team.
* Understand the aims of current healthcare policy within primary care.
* Has attention to detail, able to work accurately, identifying errors quickly and easily.
* Can effectively manage allocated resources.
* Produce timely and informative reports.
* Excellent understanding of data protection and confidentiality issues.
* Able to think analytically; anticipating obstacles and thinking ahead; using analytical techniques to come up with solutions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with team members, patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Understanding of budget and health and social care data.
* Committed to own continuing personal development and an ability to support others to develop and progress.
* Computer literate with an ability to use the required GP clinical systems.
* Has a planned and organised approach with an ability to prioritise their own workload to meet strict deadlines.
* Politically astute with an ability to sensitively manage complexity and uncertainty.
