Perinatal Mental Health Specialist Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Perinatal Nurse to work full-time covering Pembrokeshire and in the Perinatal Team based at Ty Myddfai in Carmarthen.

Our Health Board is at the forefront of delivering this innovative, preventative service, by fully integrating Perinatal Service provision within our routine antenatal services, offering all Specialist assessments in antenatal departments to normalise Perinatal Mental Health in our local communities.

Main Duties of the Job
We are looking to recruit an experienced Perinatal Mental Health Nurse, who has experience of working with either child, adult, or maternal mental health. The successful candidate will join a passionate, dynamic, and creative team, focused on ensuring a more secure start in life for all children, building resilience that leads to a brighter future.
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development of programmes of care, and the implementation and evaluation of these programmes along with undertaking interventions.
The post holder is required to work without direct supervision. The post holder will have effective communication skills and develop positive working relationships between all healthcare professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies, maintaining good communication across all boundaries.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge
* Formal Qualification required RMN/ Degree/ Diploma in Nursing
* Knowledge of how to identify service priorities and initiate developments.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance relevant to the post; Mental Health Act
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance relevant to the post; Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance relevant to the post; Children's Act
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance relevant to the post; Safeguarding children/ Adults
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance relevant to the post; NICE
* Training in Perinatal Mental Health (e.g., MIMS) or will work towards this.
* Additional qualification in therapeutic intervention i.e., CBT

Experience
* Experience of working in an Adult/ Child Mental Health service
* Advanced level of theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise acquired through in-depth theory and practice with young people and families underpinned by specialist knowledge gained from post-registration experience to postgraduate diploma level.
* Experience of mental health assessment and implementation of a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
* Experience of working within a team and interagency working within the community.
* Ability to manage a case load and to provide supervision including clinical supervision where appropriate.
* Documentary evidence of continuing professional development.
* Experience working with Perinatal Mental Health in adult mental health.
* Teaching in both clinical and academic environments.
* Experience of group work.
