Description Offsite Learning Assistant Band 5 SEN Allowance 32.5 hours a week, term time only, permanent. £19,542 - £20,845 (Annual FTE salary £25,652- £27,363) Dove House is seeking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated offsite learning assistant to join our fantastic support team on a permanent basis. Dove House is a popular, successful, and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, for students with moderate learning difficulties and autism, aged between 11-19. This role will ensure our pupils have access to offsite learning as well as enabling our pupils to also engage with the community. This role will predominately involve driving the school minibuses; however, some classroom support may be required. If you do not hold a D1 licence, you must be willing to undertake the training for this. You must be able to demonstrate sensitivity, tact and resilience when dealing with challenging circumstances, as well as being able to use your initiative and manage your own time well. Experience of working with primary or secondary pupils with complex special needs would be advantageous. Training will be given to the successful candidate.
