Job Purpose Our client is seeking a solicitor with 0-5 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) to join their well-established housing law department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, providing expert legal advice, and contributing to the continued success of the team. Key Responsibilities Case Management: Handle a wide range of housing law cases, including homelessness reviews and appeals, possession claims, and disrepair claims. Manage cases through the Legal Aid Portal (CCMS). Client Care: Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients. Ensure excellent client care standards are met in all interactions. Legal Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant housing law and legal procedures. Draft legal documents, prepare cases, and conduct negotiations as required. Team Collaboration: Work effectively within the housing law department, supporting colleagues and contributing to team goals. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance personal and team skills. Advocacy (Desirable): Represent clients in court or tribunals, if required. Essential Requirements Qualified solicitor with 0-5 years PQE. Strong knowledge and experience in housing law. Experience with the Legal Aid Portal (CCMS). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently. Strong organisational and time management skills.
