About the Role
To support our growth ambitions and deliver our Net Zero Acceleration Programme, we're recruiting a Benthic Ecology Manager into our Offshore Wind Capital Projects team.
You will manage the delivery of the planned measures related to Benthic Ecology and Electromagnetic Fields as the technical lead for the Ijmuiden Ver Alpha offshore windfarm in the Netherlands, a c2GW Offshore windfarm scheduled for energisation in 2029.
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £55,200 to £83,000 dependant upon experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Manage delivery of the planned benthic and EMF measures and the related monitoring programmes for each.
2. Liaise on all procurement processes in order to deliver both the technical aspects of the measures and their respective monitoring programmes.
3. Engage with suppliers, survey contractors and consultants to deliver the best measures and monitoring program on time and to budget.
4. Provide a technical lead for all matters related to the project and develop strong working relationship with the relevant scientific leads at key stakeholder groups.
5. Lead inputs to detailed OWF design to embed commitments on marine ecology enhancement measures and EMF monitoring.
6. Engage with the engineering package leads of the project to ensure that the proposed measures are fully integrated into the design and delivery of the OWF.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, you need to have a positive, can-do attitude with a keen eye for detail, the ability to be proactive, work independently and function well as part of a team.
In addition, we would love you to have:
1. Be organised and record significant project data/information.
2. Good motivator and communicator able to work both independently and effectively as part of a team.
3. Proactive problem solver.
Given the international nature of the project, with a team spread over the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, there will likely be an element of travel involved (3-4 days per month), depending on where the successful candidate ends up based.
