Liquid Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Peripatetic Senior Social Worker to join Cardiff County Council. This role will primarily support the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team and contribute to Practice Improvement within the Intake and Assessment team. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality social work services: Deliver comprehensive support to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. Support the UASC Team: Assist in delivering effective and efficient services tailored to the unique needs of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Contribute to practice improvement: Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of social work practices within the Intake and Assessment team. Conduct assessments: Perform thorough assessments to understand the needs and circumstances of children and families, and develop appropriate care plans. Ongoing support: Provide continuous support and intervention to children and families, adapting to their evolving needs. Collaborative work: Work closely with other professionals and agencies, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to achieve the best outcomes for children. Maintain records: Ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines. Participate in team activities: Engage in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training opportunities to support professional development and team cohesion. Requirements: Qualified Social Worker: Must hold a valid Social Work England registration. Experience: Significant experience in working with children and families, particularly within the context of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Skills: Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills, with the ability to manage complex cases effectively. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with children, families, and professionals. Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Professional development: Commitment to continuous professional development and practice improvement.
