Independent Living Officer We are currently looking for an Independent Living Officer to join The Sovini Group. This position is a permanent opportunity As an Independent Living Officer, you will be expected to: Be responsible for managing the Independent Living Service in a designated area by delivering an intensive and supportive housing management service. Develop an effective housing action and risk management plan with each customer, that meets their outcomes as identified from needs and risk assessments and liaising with relevant external agencies identified. Then review annually to reflect service and policies. Test dispersed alarm equipment/hard wired equipment on a regular basis. When necessary, report, investigate and rectify issues reporting faults to contractors Maintain efficient administrative system to ensure the accuracy of information and records relating to service/service users. Notify the relevant alarm monitoring agency of any changes to information held about service and service users, including tenant absences. Ensure that data/ information is lawfully gathered, accurate and up to date and only divulged in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR regulations. The provide reports on data when required. Monitoring the status of all void properties in the area, ensuring key information is up to date and reporting any variances to the Independent Living Manager and/or Maintenance Liaise with external agencies, other departments, key stakeholders and community organisations as necessary to ensure effective service delivery. To be successful in an Independent Living Officer role, the skills you will need : Educated to GCSE standard of equivalent An understanding of safeguarding and vulnerable groups Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and to manage own workload without direct supervision. Ability to work in and adapt to a changing environment ensuring deadlines are met. Good standard of ICT literacy and the confidence to use Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel on a daily basis. Commitment to customer care. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email. Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential: Experience of liaising with social, medical and care agencies. Previous experience of housing management.
