Where you come in: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing to oversee the strategic planning and implementation of all marketing activities for our Cornwall based events company. The role will also oversee marketing activities for any further events added to the calendar. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and ideally, the events / hospitality industry. This role will be based in the UK but can work hybrid from home, and 1-2 days from our Cornwall office. Applicants must have a valid right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship and be based in the UK. Full UK driving license is required. Responsibilities: Strategy and Planning Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for all our events. Create detailed marketing plans, including campaigns, timelines, and budgets, ensuring seamless coordination across the brands. Conduct market research and competitor evaluation to identify opportunities and refine strategies. Creative Develop key visuals and creative assets for all events. Collaborate with creative teams to produce high-quality visuals and copy for all platforms. Manage and oversee all creative output, including photography and video assets. Digital Marketing and Content Oversee, plan and manage all social media channels, ensuring engaging, on-brand content that drives growth, audience engagement and drives sales of key events. Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, announcements, and audience segmentation strategies. Paid Ads Oversee relationships with third-party paid media agencies, ensuring campaigns are effective and deliver ROI. PR and Media Manage relationships with third-party PR agencies, ensuring widespread coverage in key media outlets. Work closely with agencies to craft compelling press releases, manage media outreach, and secure coverage in industry-leading publications. Identify opportunities for media partnerships, influencer collaborations, and strategic partnerships to enhance brand visibility. Event Marketing Drive marketing efforts leading up to the events, including ticket sales campaigns, act announcement & competitions. Develop post-event marketing strategies to maintain momentum and audience engagement. As Head of Marketing you will need: Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally in the events, music, or entertainment industry. Strong expertise in social media management, email marketing, and digital advertising. Experience managing subcontractors and working with marketing agencies. Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills. A good eye for design and the ability to create static social assets. To provide regular reporting on marketing performance, campaign metrics, and recommendations for improvement. Your skills and experience: Proven experience in marketing roles within the events / hospitality sector, with strong evidence in delivering outstanding advertising, campaigns and content creation. Proven experience in briefing and commissioning highly effective design work, creative digital content, photography and videography across multiple media. Exceptional copywriting skills and a talent for crafting engaging content. Excellent leadership skills, with experience of successfully developing and managing a team. Creative mindset with an outstanding eye for design and attention to detail. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse marketing team. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. Start date: We are looking for the right candidate to start immediately. Hours: This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, typically spread over five days. We offer a flexible hybrid work schedule, with the majority of work conducted remotely. However, attendance at our Cornwall-based office is required one to two days per week. Additionally, availability during evenings and weekends may be necessary when supporting our live events.
