Hill International is looking for a Construction Manager with relevant experience in oil and gas refineries.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
2. Demonstrable experience in oil and gas construction
3. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside of the organisation and across different cultures.
4. Proven abilities in leadership, engaging, developing, and motivating teams in a challenging environment
5. Able to make decisions and drive decision processes
6. The candidate should be eligible to work in UK as well
Responsibilities
1. Monitor the performance of the EPC Contractor(s) to ensure the correctness and completeness of construction works as well as compliance with the scope of work requirements.
2. Maintain a record of the EPC Contractor(s) submittals and control the submittals/correspondence regarding Construction Works received from the EPC Contractor(s) in a timely manner.
3. Control and manage Construction Supervisor Engineers of the Project Management Team with respect to Construction aspects.
4. Evaluate and endorse variation orders/concession request submitted by the EPC Contractor(s) for Company's approval.
5. Attend all meetings with EPC Contractor(s), his sub-contractors and Company's Meetings.
6. Ensure that project scope is followed in the EPC / Execution Phase
7. Create a construction estimate based on a material takeoff (MTO)
8. Manage the construction project budget
9. Create a construction project management plan
10. Overview and ensure the construction schedule, with project deliverables and milestones
11. Manage resources such as construction materials, construction workers and equipment
12. Allocate and manage resource logistics
13. Create status reports for project stakeholders
14. Oversee the performance of the general contractor, site manager and other members of the construction team
15. Ensure all permits, licenses are issued and meet code regulations
16. Coordinating work activities with EPC Contractor project / engineering / construction managers, as well as subcontractors and suppliers
17. Monitoring and managing Contractor performance and adherence to safety regulations
18. Maintain health and safety standards
19. Monitoring project milestones and schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget constraints
20. Estimating costs for labour and materials needed for construction
21. Ensuring that all workers follow safety regulations at all times
22. Evaluating EPC Contractor performance and disciplining or terminating employees when necessary
23. Ensuring that all construction works in the project are conducted in accordance with applicable codes and regulations
24. Overseeing Contractors’ work on projects to ensure that it meets all relevant standards
25. Managing construction projects from start to finish, including planning, managing, and overseeing all aspects of the project
