There is an opportunity to build upon the existing psychological care model, with direct client work, consultancy, service improvement, training and research and audit. The CONNECT service sits alongside the established Adult Weight Management Service and offers a variety of development opportunities both within the service and in the wider Health Board. There is also an active professional network for practitioner psychologists working in South Wales in Childrens Weight Management services. Continuing Professional development is highly valued within the service and so workplans are designed to ensure time as well as opportunity to grow professionally. The successful applicant will have professional support from the Lead of the Paediatric Psychology Service. This is an exciting time to be joining ABUHB as there is a growing Paediatric Psychology Service, with psychologists, in ARFID, Diabetes, Chronic Conditions and General Paediatrics. The Paediatric Psychology Service is part of the wider Child and Family Psychology Service and there are lots of opportunities to access training, ongoing professional development and develop specialist interests.
