As a Field Service Engineer, you will represent Howden worldwide and collaborate with our diverse pool of clients to provide technical assistance during overhaul, repair, maintenance, fault finding, and installation and commissioning of steam turbines, reciprocating gas compressors, and gearboxes. You will also provide full engineering service support for our customers and develop and manage exceptional customer relationships through excellence in technical capability and personal interaction. This is an international role and will require travel.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
* Overhaul, repair, and maintain Howden steam turbines, gas compressors, and gearboxes.
* Deliver a very high technical and professional level of service to our customers, with a significant focus on safety and quality.
* Aim to achieve on time in full, to schedule, and right first time.
* Provide detailed Site Reports that highlight actions which may need to be taken and seek opportunities for improvement.
* Supervise the activities of Company or Customer supplied Technicians, ensuring their day-to-day safety requirements, site activities, and discipline. Follow health and safety procedures and complete required Risk Assessments.
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
* Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Steam Turbines and Reciprocating Compressors.
* Ability to develop and manage good customer relationships through professional customer management.
* Demonstrable experience with a strong focus on health and safety.
* Ability to supervise others on site during complex installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
* Experience working on international assignments, including where English is not the main language.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products and capable of producing detailed written technical documents such as risk assessments, site reports, root cause analysis of failures, method statements, scopes of work, and project plans.
* Desirable skills, knowledge, and behaviours include knowledge of site installation and commissioning of Steam Turbines and Reciprocating Compressors, with training provided if required, and previous experience working offshore.
