We are seeking a permanent caretaker to work at Noddfa, Dodds Lane, Gwersyllt.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious, and self-motivated person who would play a key role in maintaining the school site to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
You will be responsible for keeping the school secure, carrying out minor maintenance repairs, performing safety checks as required, and ensuring adequate records are maintained. As the main key holder, you will also be responsible for the daily unlocking and locking of the school.
You will organize the efficient removal of waste from the building and the grounds, including recycling, and ensure that the outdoors are kept clear of weeds, litter, and debris.
You will be expected to attend school as necessary outside of normal working hours in cases of alarm activation or other emergencies.
The caretaker role is 10 hours per week, 39 weeks a year, paid at a caretaker rate of £12.85 per hour.
Standard hours of work during term time are 7:00 am – 8:00 am and 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Annual leave must be taken during school holidays. Hours of work during school holidays can be agreed with the Headteacher.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
