The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Production Line Team Leader for our client based in Wythenshawe, who are a market leader within the food industry.
This role will be supervising a team of 6-8 people on a packing line.
Key responsibilities:
1. Leading the team:
Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, monitor performance, and address any issues within the team to maintain productivity.
2. Production planning and execution:
Follow production schedules, adjust workflow as needed, and ensure timely completion of orders.
3. Quality control:
Conduct regular quality checks, identify and resolve quality issues, and maintain adherence to established standards.
4. Safety compliance:
Enforce safety procedures, address safety concerns, and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
5. Training and development:
Train new employees on production processes and procedures, provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for existing team members.
6. Performance monitoring:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like production rates, scrap rates, and efficiency to identify areas for improvement.
7. Problem-solving:
Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implement solutions to minimize downtime and maximize output.
8. Communication:
Effectively communicate with other departments like planning, maintenance, and quality control to ensure smooth production flow.
The shift pattern will be Monday - Friday 10pm-6am; however, this may move to a Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am.
£30,000 per annum - this equates to £15.38 per hour.
Temporary to permanent after 12 weeks.
