We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-to-1 basis in a mainstream primary school in Smethwick. This role will be starting immediately. The school is rated “Good” by Ofsted and works hard to ensure all pupils are supported to the highest possible standard.
The successful applicant will receive full support from the SENCo, who is highly experienced and accessible to ensure all students get the best possible support. You will be working in a mainstream classroom, alongside the class teacher and the general class TA. This role will be supporting a Year 3 student who is severely autistic and currently uses PECS to communicate as they are non-verbal. No personal care will be required in this role.
Job Details:
1. Working days: Monday to Friday, 08:30am until 3:35pm during term-time only.
2. Payment: A daily rate starting from £83.40, paid weekly in arrears via PAYE, in accordance with AWR.
3. Previous SEND experience is required to be considered for this role.
4. This role is an immediate start for the right applicant and will run until a minimum of the end of the academic year 2024/2025, but may likely extend into the academic year 2025/26.
