Managing Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cambridge
Full Time, Permanent Role
Job Overview:
You will manage a team of Quantity Surveyors across a number of projects, providing guidance to other members of the Commercial team, Project Directors, and Managers on all aspects relating to commercial activity on the specified projects.
What you'll be doing:
1. Leading by example
2. Confidently building relationships with clients and subcontractors
3. Ensuring that contracts are well managed and that subcontractors are properly procured
4. Monitoring contracts and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to identify opportunities to minimize costs and maximize value for money
5. Managing changes to the project and addressing their impact on cost
6. Mentoring other team members
What's needed for a successful application?
1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
2. Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor with a Regional / National Contractor
3. Strong knowledge of construction contracts and legal requirements
4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills
5. Proficient in industry software and tools
