About the Role
Ark Workplace Risk are looking for Senior Fire, Health & Safety Consultants to join our growing team. You will be joining a market leading team of professionals to undertake risk assessments and advise Fire, Health and Safety at mainly High-Risk and tall buildings.
The position requires travel into London on average 3 days a week with all travel expenses covered. The successful candidate will be well supported by an experienced team and will be provided with any additional training that may be required through our development programme. There is also a mentorship programme for those wishing to participate.
Suitable candidates will be experienced in risk assessment on High-Risk Buildings or taller buildings within the built environment in residential and/or commercial and be able to demonstrate a passion for fire and health and safety and bring a positive approach to providing a high-quality assessment at every building/client.
Responsibilities
* Undertake fire risk assessments and general health and safety assessments across a variety of property types ranging from tall buildings to high-risk buildings (Commercial, residential, retail and public buildings)
* Undertake other types of risk-based assignments within your competence level.
* Use standards appropriate to conform to the correct Fire Related building regulations and safety standards.
* Provide a practical and methodical approach to solving problems relating to health, safety and fire safety of sites.
* Report writing using easy to use software solutions.
* Attend and keep up to date with your CPD personal development plans, updates and courses as directed by the company (Ark funds courses to increase your certification and knowledge).
Qualifications
* 2+ years’ risk assessment experience within the built environment in residential and/or commercial buildings
* 2+ years' experience delivering fire risk assessments.
* Good working knowledge of BS 9999 / 9997.
* Articulate and clear communicators and report writing abilities as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations.
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent SKEB is preferred but not essential.
* Recognised fire safety memberships e.g. MIFireE, GIFireE, MIFSM or working towards.
* Minimum level 3 Fire Safety qualifications supplementing strong experience working towards or has level 4 such as; CFPA - E Dip or equivalent.
