Job Introduction
Working as part of a Business team, you will lead the Senior Leader Business Support team, including line management, output, and development of your team. You will offer support to the Directors, Controller, and Senior Heads of Content Production across BBC Local and Business & Operations.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive Senior Leader Business Support model and activity in BBC Local and Business & Operations.
* Line management, compiling board papers, data analytics, project support, calendar, diary and Inbox management, and all associated administrative tasks.
* Manage internal and external stakeholders as required.
* Ensure compliance with legislation and BBC Policy.
* Organise your team to provide cover for absence across the Senior Leader Business Support team.
* Line manage your team members and champion their development.
* Lead and contribute to a variety of projects to deliver against agreed timelines.
Are you the right candidate?
* Working towards or obtained a relevant management or business qualification to NVQ Level 4/BTEC/HNC level, or equivalent work-based experience.
* Experience in providing administration and management assistance in a complex environment.
* Demonstrable experience of maintaining constructive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
* Experience in team leadership or supervision.
* Project management skills with an ability to improve organisational effectiveness.
* Strong computer skills with experience of office software packages (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work with limited supervision, using initiative to resolve problems.
