Description
Agility is delighted to be representing a fast-paced FMCG organisation based in Leeds. Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced and talented Assistant Management Accountant to join their friendly team.
Your role:
1. Daily posting and reconciliation of bank transactions, plus reporting of bank balances to the management team.
2. Generation of sales invoices for each project following receipt of payment certificates, ensuring that retentions and VAT are applied correctly to the invoice.
3. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Production of monthly management accounts in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
5. Preparation of VAT returns.
6. Checking staff expense submissions.
7. Proactively develop an understanding of the requirements of the business by developing strong working relationships with colleagues.
8. Work closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Director to identify weaknesses in the accounts systems and processes and suggest potential improvements.
9. Updating the weekly cash flow forecast with actual figures.
10. Assisting the Finance Manager as required with the production of cash flow and P&L forecasts.

Person Specification
1. Studying for or interested in studying CIMA/ACCA.
2. 3+ years' experience within a financial environment.
3. Experience of working with high volumes of invoices.
4. Driven to progress your career.
5. High attention to detail.
6. 28 days holiday + bank holidays.
