Stock shelves in the Inpatient Pharmacy, Outpatient Pharmacy, and any other required location ensuring that stock is kept clean, tidy, in the correct place and used in order FEFO (first expiry first out). Carry out regular stock checks of medicines stored within these areas reporting any discrepancies to the Procurement Pharmacy Technician. Receive and process orders for medicines from wards and departments. Visit wards and departments on a schedule, to order stock (top up) Process orders via the pharmacy computer system. Assemble medicines for delivery in ward boxes ensuring that they are packed in an appropriate way to minimise damage or risk to staff and messengers. Ensure that only non-wholesale stock returned to Pharmacy is correctly assessed for re-use and returned appropriately via the stock system. Dispose of medicines appropriately ready for destruction in a safe manner. Receive and process telephone enquiries relating to stock and distribution. Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment. Carry out any other duties as requested by the Chief Pharmacy Technician or Team Manager.
