Job Description:
The Leasing Consultant, under the direction of the Community Manager, is responsible for maximizing property occupancy by generating qualified traffic, networking within the local community, scheduling appointments, promoting resident retention, and providing or coordinating exceptional customer service. The position is entry-level, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Greeting prospective residents and providing them with property tours.
2. Processing lease applications and qualifying residents.
3. Coordinating with the marketing team to place online ads and ensure signage is correctly positioned.
4. Supporting the Community Manager with general office maintenance by answering phones and performing other administrative tasks.
5. Maintaining an up-to-date market study of primary competitors.
6. Providing high-quality customer service to residents and prospective residents.
7. Effectively showcasing the features and benefits of the apartments and communities.
8. Identifying strengths and weaknesses of alternative sales approaches; overcoming objections and creating excitement.
9. Accurately preparing all lease-related documents.
10. Consistent and timely follow-up on all calls, emails, and site visits.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
1. 1-2 years of high-quality customer service experience.
2. Prior leasing and lease-up experience preferred.
3. Strong communication and marketing skills.
4. Professional and positive attitude.
5. College degree preferred.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
7. Must be able to work weekends and have a reliable way to get to work.
