Key Responsibilities Clinical / Professional Practice To work within a specialist clinical area as an autonomous professional with support and supervision (which may be remote) from a more senior SaLT for more complex cases. To accept professional accountability and responsibility. To apply the specialist neurorehabilitation model, demonstrating knowledge of current research findings, and best practice in the field. With supervision as required, to manage a caseload of People We Support with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behaviour. To use evidence-based practice, service user centred principles and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention. With supervision as required, undertake comprehensive assessments, considering environment, context and future plans, of People We Support in order to formulate appropriate: Rehabilitation goals Care plans Communication and dysphagia therapy programmes Referrals Communication partner training
