Control System Engineering Graduate Scheme at KBR
As a Control system Engineering Graduate, you would join our 60 strong Control system engineering team based in Leatherhead, Surrey, and get to be part of some amazing projects. We would be committed to developing your skills and career on some of the biggest and best projects out there.
What does the scheme involve?
At KBR we love to teach and support new professionals. You will be given the latest training and tools needed to further your skills and become a key member of our thriving team. The graduate programme is IET & InstMC accredited, and our established mentor system will help support and advise you on your journey towards chartership.
The 2-year scheme would give you experience of a myriad of projects as you would rotate across clients. You could be offered opportunities to work across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. You would be joining a large graduate global family with automatic enrollment in the vibrant KBR IMPACT network, which promotes new professionals and organises social activities across all our locations
What type of projects would you be working on?
As part of our team at KBR, you’ll be involved in designing Instruments and advanced process control systems for various facilities, including plastics recycling, LNG, ammonia, hydrogen production, and refineries. You’ll gain valuable experience in automation engineering, working on energy security and energy transition projects, including sustainable energy initiatives. Our expert guidance, training, and support will empower you to contribute effectively to diverse projects alongside industry-leading automation engineers, ensuring the best instrumentation solutions based on the latest technologies.

What will you do?
1. You will be based at our office in Leatherhead, Surrey and become part of our Instrument and Control engineering team, this will involve working on and contributing to different projects in various stages.
2. Helping design Instrument and Control systems at various stages of projects from concept definition right through to detailed design and supporting construction and commissioning phases.
3. Different rotations will allow you to develop your skills and provide you with a wide range experience and could provide you with the opportunity to work abroad at one of our other offices in locations like Baku and Chennai.
4. Site based rotations available to further enhance knowledge, skills and experience.
