An exciting opportunity has arisen within the division of Family Health/Care Group 3.
We are pleased to advertise a vacancy for an enthusiastic and hardworking Band 2 Ward Clerk to work within the Gynaecology department.
Main duties of the job
The Clerk will be supporting the Gynaecology in patient wards as well as the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and Pregnancy Advisory Service.
Applicants must have effective communication skills for dealing with complex and sensitive issues.
The successful applicants will need to work 2 or 3 days a week.
Previous experience of working with System One and Meditech would be advantageous.

Experience
* Within the relevant area
Knowledge
* Experience of carrying out administration work and providing secretarial support
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Working knowledge of internet / intranet and e-mail
* Working Knowledge of Local IT Systems including Meditech
Qualifications
* Good standard of education to minimum of GCSE
* High standard of word processing skills to RSA III word processing or equivalent
* Qualifications in Access databases and/or Excel spreadsheets
* Working towards NVQ Level 3 Customer Service/Business Admin or the equivalent
