Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Finance Manager in managing day-to-day accounting operations.
* Processing invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
* Reconciling bank statements and handling discrepancies.
* Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports.
* Handling queries related to accounts and providing customer support where necessary.
* Supporting with VAT returns and other tax-related tasks.
* Assisting with payroll processing as required.
* General administrative support to the finance team.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
* Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero).
* Excellent MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
* Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* AAT qualification (or working towards) is preferred but not essential
