Main duties of the job
Support the NurseManager, maintain stock of waiting room leaflets, ordering.
Administeringmedications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers
Providing healtheducation and counselling, clinics to patients on a variety of health-related topics
Maintainingaccurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with practice protocols
Collaboratingwith the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care to patients

Responsibilities:
1. Conductinggeneral nursing duties such as:
2. Wound care
3. Immunizationsincluding childhood and travel vaccinations
4. Health screening
5. QOF
6. ECG recordings
7. Assisting withminor surgery and coil fittings
8. Depo injectionsand pill checks
9. Requestingpathology test, for example urine culture, swab
10. Testing urinesamples
11. Support the NurseManager, maintain stock of waiting room leaflets, ordering.
12. Attend practicemeetings when required.
13. An opportunity towork out of hours, extended access etc.

22. Participate indeveloping, implementing and monitoring policies, procedures and protocols.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
24. Registered Nurse qualification with a valid nursing license NMC
25. Maintain own professional and personal development in accordance with the NMC Code (2008), standards and professional guidelines.
26. Experience in chronic disease management desirable diabetes, respiratory
27. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
28. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
29. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
30. Understanding of practice contracts and SNOMED coding
31. Strong IT skills and knowledge of clinical systems such as: EMIS Web, Docman, AccuRx and ICE.
