As a Client Reporting Leader, you will be responsible for managing the vessel administration team and Finance officers, dealing with all central vessel processes. You will drive and lead the automation and streamlining of all multi-vessel processes, with the delivery of high-quality vessel reporting to a key client within a dynamic and forward-looking Vessel Management Company. You will ensure all deadlines and KPIs are met and report progress to the Financial Controller. You should be qualified or qualified by experience, with excellent leadership skills and the ability to influence and drive the team towards improving processes, driving change, and ensuring governance of cost disciplines across our Managed fleet of vessels.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a team of Finance Officers and Finance administration, including appraisals and training new staff.
* Ensure all inter-vessel transfers are correctly accounted for and bank transfers are made within agreed deadlines.
* Manage the process for vessels leaving management, aiming to reduce process time to 3 months.
* Reconcile crew leave balances, ensuring liabilities are correctly posted, reconciled, and controlled within the required timeframe for month-end.
* Ensure all crew payroll processes are completed within deadlines.
* Approve bank payments.
* Line management of the team, including setting appraisals, objectives, development, training, and recruitment.
* Ensure all processes are documented.
* Work with the Finance Controller to identify and implement efficiency and automation improvements.
* Support the Financial Controller with special projects.
* Provide cross-functional support within the department as needed.
* Work towards monthly deadlines, KPIs, and client feedback.
* Ensure processes for fleet movements within Finance Client Reporting are followed.
* Coordinate team meetings with the FC, ensuring deliverables and progress are communicated effectively.
* Set KPIs and establish processes to monitor them for the Ship Management Dashboard.
You may occasionally be asked to undertake other tasks relevant to your position.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience working within a dynamic team, demonstrating leadership and staff management skills.
* ERP experience or familiarity with systems similar to Agresso.
