We are seeking a Senior Paralegal with demonstrable expertise in data privacy and commercial contracts to join our in-house legal team. You will work closely with cross-functional business teams, providing essential legal support in areas such as data privacy compliance, IT licensing, SaaS contracts, and regulatory matters. This role is ideal for a proactive and highly organised legal professional who excels at managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality legal guidance in a fast-moving corporate setting. ✅ Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Support the execution and documentation of privacy assessments, including DPIAs, transfer impact assessments, and AI assessments. Conduct research and monitor legal developments, case law, and regulatory guidance related to data protection, AI, and e-privacy. Act as a first line of defence for privacy-related inquiries and provide support to the Data Protection Officer (DPO) on monitoring and compliance tasks.. Help build and maintain a network of data privacy champions, organise training sessions, and support the creation and upkeep of legal knowledge bases, guidance materials, and training content for internal stakeholders. Assist with updating the Register of Processing Activities (RoPA) using OneTrust and other compliance activities. Assist with document control, publish new versions of documents (privacy policies, cookie notices), update affiliate lists, intergroup data transfer agreements, and DPO/other data privacy registrations. Review and analize commercial contracts and agreements, and other third-party contractual documents. Ensure all contracts comply with legal standards and company policies. Collaborate with business stakeholders to finalise contract terms and support initiatives to streamline and scale commercial legal processes. Address ad hoc legal queries related to commercial agreements. Support product-related deployment of terms and conditions and address related queries. Support the Legal Team as needed to enable global legal support in a fast-paced environment. ️ You’ll be a great fit if you bring the below with you: Bachelor's or Masters’ in Legal Studies; Law degree or Paralegal practice certificate or diploma; or qualified lawyer. Proven experience as a paralegal at an esteemed private practice or in house. Strong understanding of legal principles with demonstrable experience with data privacy laws and regulations. Minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in data privacy and developing regulations, handling substantive work including DPIAs, transfer impact assessments, and AI assessments. Experienced in drafting and reviewing contracts, including data processing agreements. Proficiency in legal research and document preparation. Proficiency in using tools like OneTrust for data privacy compliance management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and provide training and support to various internal business teams.
