Brightwork are recruiting for a Clerk of Works to join our client, a large-scale public sector organisation at their Renfrewshire offices. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity lasting approximately 6 months. Working within the Housing Team, the successful candidate will provide Clerk of Works services for external projects including surveys and site management. Duties will include: - Ensure adherence to contract specifications and documentation, ensuring contracts are delivered to the correct quality, within budget and to appropriate standards - Guarantee that quality and standards are achieved through site inspections - Ensure value for money is achieved through works carried out - Inspect works to ensure any deficient work is rectified before completion - Inspect materials, workmanship and practices on site - Liaise with contractors, clients and external stakeholders to ensure effective running of projects - Maintain records and documentation accordingly - Additional duties as required The successful candidate will: - Have a recognised qualification in the building/construction field such as joinery, masonry, maintenance, etc - Have experience working within a similar role and able to demonstrate an ability to manage larger scale projects - Sound knowledge of H&S regulations for buildings, property and construction work - Be able to commit to an ongoing temporary role In addition, the successful candidate will be required to have a Full UK Driving License and be willing to travel throughout Renfrewshire.
