Medical Reports Team Administrator/Prescribing Clerk
We are looking for a member of staff to join our Medical Reports and Prescribing Team, to work 30 hours per week, providing administrative support to the clinical team involving managing insurance reports, requests for medical records, processing prescription requests, and general clerical duties.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Utilising clerical skills to ensure letters, reports, and associated documentation are completed as required and undertaken in a timely manner.
2. Managing all enquiries in an effective manner.
3. Scanning patient-related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients' health care records as necessary.
4. Processing requests for information i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitor's letters, and DVLA forms.
5. Supporting all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested.
6. Responding to or actioning tasks sent via the EMIS system on a daily basis.
7. Maintaining and keeping up to date data logs in computerized patient records in an accurate and secure manner.
8. Receiving incoming and initiating outgoing telephone calls to facilitate timely and appropriate communications, taking messages, and dealing with queries from patients, NHS services, or insurance companies.
9. Assisting with the gathering of statistics and information when required.
10. Providing internal cover for annual leave within the department.
11. Prioritising workload.
12. Informing lead of possible data breaches.
13. Managing and maintaining emails from colleagues within NHS services or insurance companies.
14. Distributing lab reports and medication requests on the clinical system to the relevant clinical staff.
15. Processing prescription requests and queries.
About Us
Teldoc has over 50,000 patients and continues to grow. The role of Medical Reports Team Administrator/Prescribing Clerk will be based in the centre of Telford, TF3 4LY at our Head Office, located next to the train station.
The role will be working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:30 pm. Work pattern to be discussed.
