What you'll do
These are some key tasks, currently defined in no particular order, but they can vary. You will be expected to adjust to such variations within the remit of your position, but we see it as a key part of diversifying the ways in which you learn, thereby ensuring that your development is enjoyable, fun, and as enriching as possible.
Key areas of responsibility
General
* BA or MA in interior architecture or interior design
* Work within a project team to develop design concepts, presentations and technical drawings
* Basic understanding of RIBA stages
* Awareness of materials and suppliers
* Strong visualisation skills (i.e. hand drawing, Procreate, AI, 3D rendering)
* Understanding of new technologies (such as AI) to aid in the design and visualisation process
* Skills in graphic design, including wayfinding and signage design, would be an added advantage
Design
* Working in collaboration with design team members to carry out concept and detailed design proposals
Project management
* Team – Keep Project/Package Lead regularly updated on progress of work and/or anticipated problems
* Delivery – Carry out the concept and detail design within the framework of the project objectives including preparation of presentations, design reports, drafting and CAD work for planning, design development, tender or construction purposes – Administer project related information in line with standards and procedures of the Practice
* Design Lead – Attend key project meetings
Technical skills
* Strong presentation, conceptual and visualising skills, freehand or computer aided
* Awareness of new technologies and presentation methods
* Good space planning and spatial analysis skills
* Basic knowledge and understanding of building technologies, materials and products
* Awareness of contemporary environmental issues in design work
* Proficiency in Revit, (any other AutoCAD programme and 3D programme) and Creative Suite
* Basic BIM Knowledge

* Strong team player
* Broad understanding of contemporary design trends
* Self-motivated, organised and proactive
* Ability to adapt to different clients, project types and scales
* Ability to manage own workload, under pressure, and act with integrity at all times
