Department: Quality Job Title: Team Leader Main Objectives: The role of QA Team Leader is to oversee the running of the shift. Beginning with receiving the handover then relaying this to the rest of the shift. Then assigning inspectors to an area and highlighting any additional duties that require completion on top of their core jobs. A team leader is also the first point of contact for all areas when a concern may arise. The team leader should attend area of concern, investigate, access the issue then take action to contain & resolve the issue escalating to shift supervisor or D/S team if required. A team leader should be able to communicate effectively with TL’s & Supervisors from production/maintenance to co-ordinate the submission of samples, resubmissions or any other activities that may be required. Additionally, a QA team leader should be able to cover jobs carried out by inspectors on shift (in all areas) in times of absence (due to holidays or sickness) and when the workload may increase due to concerns or trials. Outline and Responsibilities: Stand in for QA Engineer / Supervisor when required Lead a team of QA inspectors on shift Maintain standards relating to Safety, Quality and Environmental Support delivery and cost objectives Lead QA Inspection activities in all Production areas Lead with a strong sense of customer focus Shift handover reporting Containment activity for non-conforming material Experience & qualifications Required: Experience within a Li Battery facility Experience of IATF16949 Knowledge of VDA (desirable) Production and Trial preparation experience (desirable) Man-management experience (desirable) Excellent PC Skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
