As a Quality and Lean CI Engineer at Airedale by Modine, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence through the implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems and lean methodologies. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high standards of product quality are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
* Lead and support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes to drive operational efficiency and waste reduction.
* Use Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, etc.) to analyse processes and identify areas for improvement.
* Facilitate problem-solving workshops and root cause investigations to resolve quality issues and process inefficiencies.
* Collaborate with production teams, quality engineers, and management to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) when necessary.
* Work directly with large data centre customers to understand and address their specific quality needs and requirements, ensuring products meet their high standards.
* Provide technical support to customers regarding product quality, process improvements, and troubleshooting of any quality-related issues.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement and foster a mindset of operational excellence across the site.
Required Education & Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a Quality or Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
* Experience with tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in HVAC, engineering, or similar sectors is advantageous.
