We are excited to be starting our search for a passionate and customer-focused Restaurant General Manager to lead our busy Restaurant, Bar & Wine teams at THE PIG.
This is a rare opportunity to join the group in an influential senior role, with future progression pathways to Deputy General Manager and Hotel Director.
At THE PIG, we offer our guests a daily changing menu dedicated to the ingredients grown within our own kitchen garden and fresh produce provided by our local suppliers. We guarantee each service to be different, fun, and full of atmosphere!
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee and drive all aspects of our restaurant operations. You will have a passion for teamwork and developing people to deliver our purpose of being 'The Future of Caring and Considered Hospitality'.
Along with our passion for locally sourced ingredients, we offer an extensive wine list to our guests, from wines across the world to local British produce and our very own PIG offering! We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for food, wine & beverages, and in return, we encourage direct supplier engagement with trips and tours to develop you and your team’s knowledge.
This is a hands-on strategic leadership role focused on ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences; effectively developing and implementing innovative strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue generation.
You will be responsible for managing the restaurant operations within budget and to the highest brand standards. Leading the restaurant, bar, and wine team by attracting, recruiting, training, and creating development paths for the team. The role will have a strong focus on the development and growth of the HOD team and will be responsible for supporting, overseeing, and coordinating the operation between Bar, Restaurant, and Wine.
Monitoring guest feedback, resolving issues, and striving to continuously improve the overall restaurant experience for our guests. You will be commercially minded and entrepreneurial, being able to spot opportunities and act swiftly.
You will be motivated by targets and be able to impart enthusiasm for sales on your teams. You will also understand how to manage costs and control operational spending including payroll, inventory control, waste management, and stock ordering. Overseeing rosters and payroll, you will optimize staffing schedules to meet the business needs.
Experience in a similar role is essential; you must have a clear understanding of traditional restaurant service and how to use this knowledge to drive and improve standards. Candidates must be capable and confident in taking on responsibility for the hotel during shifts, acting as Duty Manager, being prepared and able to deal with incidents or emergency situations.

Pay details: Up to £45,000 DOE inclusive of fixed tronc payment, plus additional variable tronc points (OTE £52,000)
